Rapid technological developments combined with the need to fight terrorism influence the protection of the right to privacy. Illustrative examples of this are the surveillance policies that have been introduced recently; this poses big challenges to privacy and data protection. Should we update our privacy protection to face these new technological developments? And how should this enhanced protection be given form?
The February issue of the Tilburg Law Review will contribute to this important debate from a European and comparative constitutional perspective. The debate will continue during this Masterclass in which several influential scholars will present to express their views. The program of the conference will be published soon.
